Saturday, September 21, 2002Date: Fri, 20 Sep 2002 10:22:41 -0400 From: bgarry bgarry@fuse.net Subject: Workshop - "The State of Cincinnati" - a Grassroots Citizen's Report Workshop "The State of Cincinnati" - a Grassroots Citizen's Report November 15-16, St. Joseph Catholic Church Friday and Saturday, November 15th and 16th a workshop entitled "The State of Cincinnati" will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 745 Ezzard Charles Dr. The workshop will be held Friday from 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 - 4:30pm. The goal of the workshop is to create a grassroots citizen's report on where Cincinnati currently stands in areas of social concern. The report(s) would then go on to explain what steps should be taken to reach the stated goals in these areas of concern. The report could then submitted to the city for consideration, used a tool for reference, used as measuring stick as well as other uses. Possible topics include but are not limited to issues regarding: Housing, the environment, children, homelessness, race/ethicity, urban sprawl, economic inclusion, gender, inter-religious respect, people with disabilities, poverty, sexual orientation, education, election reform, diet, city politics, the judicial system, jails and prisons, etc. Please let me know if you have other areas and or groups who would like to be involved.
