Saturday, April 12, 2003LPDC Requests your help... Hello again LP Supporters, this is the interim webmaster for the LPDC. I have had the opportunity to help Leonard Peltier and the LPDC to recover their website for the last two months. I am very proud to have helped Leonard Peltier and gladly accept his thanks for helping. Special thanks to Robert Free for giving me the opportunity to help, to the new LPDC board members for focusing on Leonards case, and to all the supporters around the world for the hundreds of letters of support. At this time however, Leonard needs your support more than ever. Many volunteers are needed in Lawrence Kansas (please give them a call) to help with the new fundraising and outreach campaigns. Leonard has also been unable to see the new website, you can write him directly, at Leavenworth Prison to let him know about all the changes. See the website for his address. The events of last year have also created an immediate need for funds. The LPDC has begun a new fundraising campaign called, "PASSING THE BLANKET." If you can help Leonard Peltier financially, you should immediately visit : http://www.freeleonardpeltier.org/passtheblanket.htm and contribute what you can. I know I will. As for me, I am moving on to other things, having been asked to step down to make way for the new permanent webmaster of the LPDC. My company (The Peacepipe Network) can provide top-notch website development, computer repair, network admin services, virus removal, and digital media production. We are a 100% Native American owned and operated business, that is entierly made up entirely of recognized tribal members, accept no substitutes. We have a special place in our hearts for native subjects, and non-profit orgs, but we work for many private businesses as well. If you have a need for these services, please visit my website at http://www.eandgcomputers.com/peacepipe and contact me directly. Out of my love for Leonard Peltier, and the many sacrifices made for the people over the last 500 years, I have created two new music videos, featuring 100's of pictures of Natives from the Pine Ridge area. The pictures, taken from the library of congress, contain pictures of native men and women from 1860 to 1977. The videos are my special gift to the thousands of Leonard Peltier Supporters around the world, and those pictured who are not with us anymore. They are available only in Broadband Real Player versions right now, 56k and Windows Media Player versions coming soon. Please visit my website or the www.freeleonardpeltier.org website and look in the Multi-Media Room to view the videos. Once again ~ thank you all for this tremendous opportunity. For a kid from Tule River Reservation in Porterville California, it has truly been an honor. I hope you all will continue to support Leonard Peltier and the LPDC ~ they are doing their level best to move on to bigger and better things ... Please be sure to visit : http://www.freeleonardpeltier.org/passtheblanket.htm and contribute what you can. Thank you, David Velasquez Owner ~ Peacepipe Network ~ one-time host of the LPDC !!!!
