Every year The Miami Valley Council for Native Americans with the American Indian Movement and Support Group of Ohio and Northern Kentucky and many, many other persons and organizations collect school supplies to take to the schools on the Standing Rock Reservation in North and South Dakota. Those who assist in the distribution have indicated that there are never enough supplies, especially bookbags, for all the school children who need them.

We would like to ask for your assistance. Please consider collecting school supplies at your house, perhaps even by buying a few items every time you go to the store, and then taking those supplies to the drop-off location(s). Collection will take place in a central location (Cincinnati/Dayton/Columbus, Ohio) May - August.

What is needed:

BOOKBAGS
ANY AND ALL SCHOOL SUPPLIES
*EXCEPT*:
Permanent markers
White Out (Liquid Paper and the like)
Anything that can be used as an inhalant
